I have an Android application that is distributed to our clients as part of a larger navigation training system. All Android devices are connected via a private (Cellular) APN to a Windows server.

I need to be able to distribute an updated release of the app to all Android devices from the server. So I will decide when to update the app on each device and initiate the installation of the APK to the remote devices when necessary.

All these solutions require an internet connection which I don t have.

Other solutions involved copying the APK to a server and have the device download and install from there, which is also not what I want. I need to be able to initiate the installation from the server.

Ideally, what I want is very similar to the Android Market behavior.

https://play.google.com/apps https://play.google.com/apps This works nicely. If you have several Android devices (on which you also logged-in with the same google account) they will all be listed there and you can select the one you want to install the app to.

Again, this solution requires an internet connection. But ideally this is what I would like to be able to do, except that it must be in an APN with no internet connection.

Any ideas will be appreciated,

Meir
